Fable: No Curse, No Crown

Once Upon a Time...

...there was a beautiful kingdom called Elysia. Elysia was a perfect land where everyone was as happy as they could be. Everyone and everything were content and in their places.

Or at least, that is the story they want to tell you. Like all stories, it has twists and turns, good and bad, and heroes and villains. That, of course, is where you come in.

Fable: No Curse, No Crown is a Table Top Roleplaying Game (TTRPG), a game where you and your fellow Players (guided by your Narrator), tell a story together. In Fable, you inhabit the fairytale land of Elysia, playing as Princepts - people that don't quite fit in in Elysian Society or its Laws. Most importantly, they've each been granted a Legacy, a magical fairytal inheritence, to help them bring some amount of change into the world.

Fable: No Curse, No Crown was written as part of the #RPGenesis Jam 2026.

Touchstones for Fable include media such as She-ra and the Princesses of Power and feminist fairytale retellings. Fable is a Sparked by the Resistance game and its themes and mechanics are influenced by Rowan, Rook and Decard's Heart: The City Beneath and Spire: The City Must Fall.
